This past Monday, BronxTalk featured a discussion on the future of public access television in the Bronx. Former Borough President Fernando Ferrer and Bronxnet Executive Director Michael Knobbe joined host Gary Axelbank in a spirited discussion about what Bronxnet has meant to the Bronx since its inception in 1993. With negotiations with Cablevision at a standstill, Mr. Ferrer and Mr. Knobbe were adament that not only should Bronxnet's programming, internship programs, training programs, and other services be continued, but they also presented a vision for extending the facilities into other parts of the borough.
They also encouraged viewers to sign the online petition.

That Ferrer guy is one astute dude. It is good to see now that he has retired from his life as a public servant he remains a stalwart Bronxite :) He's still terrific... We could use more people like him.
ReplyDeleteI hope that no one watches the show featuring former district manager Jimmy Vacca. It is time to get him off the public dole.
