The New York Road Runners held its half-marathon grand prix in the Bronx this Sunday, Feb. 8. The 13-mile race began at 8 a.m. on the east side of the Jerome Park Reservoir. Runners circled the park and continued through Mosholu Parkway and through the Grand Concourse as far south as 179th Street. Roads were closed off and buses were re-routed to accommodate the race, which ended by 11:00am. The NYRR usually holds the race in July, but moved it to February to avoid the summer heat and humidity. The mild weather this weekend was also a nice treat for the hundreds of runners who came out on Sunday.
