Bronx News Roundup, Wednesday, May 11

Late speed roundup here today.

Weather: Sunshine will give way to some clouds and temperatures in the 50s tonight. Tomorrow should be similar to today, but warmer.

Quick Hits:
A 2-year-old boy is in intensive care at St. Barnabas Hospital after falling from a fourth floor apartment window in Morris Heights last night. The fall was caught on surveillance tape. Some residents said the window the baby fell out of didn't have window guards.

More dirt from the NYPD ticket-fixing probe: a Daily News report says cops from the 40th, 48th and 52nd precincts received high-priced Yankee tickets to make summonses go away.

The latest escapee from the Bronx Zoo, a female peahen, was "safely coralled" and "resting comfortably" after bolting from zoo grounds on Monday, just weeks after a cobra went missing for seven days.

Bronx rap legend Mele Mel will star in a new Bronxnet fitness show, called "Grand Master Fitness with Mele Mel."

Video is circulating of a crazy guy who stripped naked and started yelling racial epithets at people on the Hunts Point 6 train station earlier this month. Yes, it's crazy, and yes, it's all on video. Warning: there are graphic images and language on this clip.
