Here's a rundown of scheduled service changes for trains that run through the Bronx for this weekend, July 22-25. Not much trouble in the Bronx, but those of you traveling to other boroughs might be forced to endure a transfer or a train going local.
2 train
(3:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday July 23-24)
--No trains between East 180 Street and 149th Street-Grand Concourse. (Free shuttle buses provided for alternate service.)
(12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, July 23-25)
--Manhattan-bound trains run express from Franklin Avenue to Atlantic Avenue.
--To Eastern Parkway, Grand Army Plaza and Bergen Street, take a Manhattan bound 2 or 3 to Atlantic Avenue and transfer to a Flatbush Avenue-bound 2 or New Lots Avenue-bound 3.
From these stations, take a Flatbush Avenue-bound 2 or New Lots Avenue-bound 3 to Franklin Avenue and transfer to a Manhattan-bound 2 or 3.
D train (12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday July 23-25)
--Manhattan-bound trains run on the N line from Stillwell Avenue to 59 Street.
--To Bay 50 Street, 25 Avenue, Bay Parkway, 20 Avenue, 18 Avenue, 79 Street, 71 Street, 55 Street, Fort Hamilton Parkway and 9 Avenue stations, take the D train to 62 Street-New Utrecht Avenue or 36 Street and transfer to a Stillwell Avenue-bound D.
From these stations, take a Stillwell Avenue-bound D to 62 Street - New Utrecht Avenue or Stillwell Avenue and transfer to a Manhattan-bound D.
1 train
(11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday July 22-25)
--No trains between 14 Street and South Ferry.
--Take 2 or 3 trains and free shuttle buses instead.
--Free shuttle buses replace 1 trains between Chambers Street and South Ferry.
--1 trains run express between 34th Street and 14th Street.
--2 and 3 trains run local between Chambers Street and 96th Street
--Overnight: 1 trains run local between 242nd Street and 14th Street
--3 trains run local between 148th Street and 34th Street.
4 train
(11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, July 22-25)
--Downtown trains run local from 125 Street to 14 Street-Union Square.
--Uptown trains run local from Grand Central-42 Street to 125 Street.
5 train
(3:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday July 23-24)
No trains between East 180 Street and Bowling Green
Take the 4 train or free shuttle buses instead.
6 train
--Long term construction is still affecting Elder Avenue and Saint Lawrence Avenue stations. Check notices posted at the stations or call (718) 330-1234 for more information.
(12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday July 23-24)
--Downtown trains run express from 14 Street-Union Square to Brooklyn Bridge
--To Astor Place, Bleecker, Spring and Canal Street, take the 4 or 6 to Brooklyn Bridge and transfer to an uptown 4 or 6.
From these stations, take an uptown 4 or 6 to 14 Street - Union Square and transfer to a downtown 4 or 6.
