  1. We've been focused on the Espada/Gonzalez race for a bit now. It really is shocking that these are the only two candidates that 33rd District residents have to choose from. The ethical dregs of politics. This would be unacceptable anywhere else in the City. Why is it okay in the Bronx? How can there be no new blood? Just these tired retreads? How can there be no new talent to be a real political leader for the Bronx. It is shocking what passes for politics in the Bronx. On a positive note, I am glad to see Mike Benjamin won and that the politics of race/ethnic block voting didn't defeat an otherwise decent candidate.
