Songs, Paintings and Poems by Young People on Probation

This afternoon, the NYC Department of Probation is hosting a Creative Arts Showcase, featuring work from young Bronx residents on probation (see the photo above). "The young people participating in the program are doing so on their own time. The show is a fun way to recognize the talents of our young people and reinforce positive behavior," reads a press release.  The showcase is tonight, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bronx Family Court, 900 Sheridan Ave at 161st Street.

See our events calendar below for this and other Bronx events this week.

  1. This is Mark Rodriguez, Equal Parenting Advocate, and isn't it a shame that the title should read "by young people ON PROBATION." When our legal and political systems end their agenda of dividing and destroying families for profit, maybe our kids won't need to end up in jail to realize their talents. What a hypocrisy!
