As Stadium Rises, Neighbors Wait for Replacement Parks

In 2005, the city said it would cost $116 million to replace two parks swallowed up by the new Yankee Stadium. As of last week, that figure had shot up to $195, some of which has yet to be explained.

Another concern - a more immediate one for local residents - is that the replacement parks won't open for some time, because of construction delays. Meanwhile, the stadium is expected to be finished ahead of schedule. Jose de Jesus, a high school student in the Norwood News' youth journalism program, has the story.
