More Endorsements for Rivera

Gustavo Rivera, one of two State Senate candidates looking to unseat Sen. Pedro Espada, has received three more endorsements this morning. According to press releases, he's scored the support of State Senator Eric Schneiderman, who represents Northern Manhattan and parts of the Bronx, as well as that of Assemblyman Adriano Espaillat. Rivera is also being backed by the grassroots organization Citizen Action of New York.

"Today, I'm not just endorsing Gustavo Rivera for State Senate-I'm endorsing reform, I'm reforming leadership, and I'm endorsing integrity," Schneiderman said in a statement sent this morning.

Schneiderman, who is running for Attorney General this fall, is the first State Senator from the Bronx to endorse Rivera (he's also been endorsed by Sen. Liz Krueger, of Manhattan).

It's been a good week for Rivera, who's received a slew of other endorsements recently, including support from Bronx Councilman Fernando Cabrera and former Borough President Freddy Ferrer last week.

  1. Schneiderman WHO? The one who lies on the Upper West Side? Who is responsible for Dominicans being forced out of Washington Heights so that more and more folks from Yeshiva University move in? Oh yeah, we know him. AND HE''S NOT GOING TO WIN THAT AG RACE!

ESPAILLAT? Guy is a FAKE! His community knows that and he will also be surprised when MARK LEVINE WINS on Sept. 14th. Espaillat ONLY CARES ABOUT HIMSELF!

  2. Once again we see the folks from the other side (Manhattan) trying to get themselves involved in OUR BOROUGH. They need to focus in their turf, not the Bronx. Both of these individuals, Espailat and Schneiderman, are worthless to our community. I am not for Espada, nor am I against him at this point (yes, I'm undecided) but I am not for OUTSIDERS trying to run our Borough. No way, No How! Not Here! Not Now! I think that Padernacht may be a better alternative...maybe! I'll be waiting to see....

  3. Sound like an Espada plant?
The only "Ericka Woodward" who shows up anywhere on the internet lives in Marietta, GA.

Either this is the one and only time this lady from The Bronx ever commented on any blogs or did anything remotely noteworthy... or this is a fake!
