Pedro Espada is appealing to potential voters via a YouTube video ad and through automated phone messages. In both, he says that "wealthy outsiders" are launching a smear campaign against him.
More Espada news: he's been endorsed by the Spanish-language newspaper New York De Dia. He hasn't, however, received the (financial) support of his fellow State Democrats, who have spent a hefty sum this election season on consulting fees for nearly every incumbent candidate--except Espada. The Daily News also points out that he still owes over $10,000 to the Board of Elections in violation fines for not filing financial disclosure forms.

Firstly, let mje say Bronx News Network that I absolutly LOVE your "Whats going on" tablet on your blog. Because of it, I now have 2 more wonderful events in our boro that I will be attending this weekend.

1- How can Jeffrey Dinowitz say he wants Espada eliminated when a) hes been helping Danny Boy Padernet, who will slice the vote and give Espada his hard earned fruits, vegatables (and now school supplies) VICTORY and b) despite giving the power by The NYS & Bronx Democratic Committees he refuses to eliminate Espada from the democratic party? Is it because deep down inside, he wants Espada to win?????
So sad!. Espada calls The New Rooselvelt Inititative "outsiders" and he is RIGHT. Many 33rd State Residents call Espada "an outsider" and THEY ARE RIGHT.While Danny Boy is not an outsider, his Riverdale base only covers about 10% of the 33rd State Senate Race!

You don't know what you're talking about. it was well-publicized that Jeff Dinowitz asked Padernacht to drop out of the race! So how can he be supporting him?
ReplyDeleteSecond, making a political move to oust Espada from the Democratic Party would only backfire because there's no way it would hold up in court and there's also no way it could have been concluded before the primary.
It's a lovely fantasy that you've written here, but it's just not based in fact. Good try.
