Bronx Assembly members Jose Rivera and Carmen Arroyo endorsed State Senator Pedro Espada, Jr. for reelection outside the Bronx County Courthouse yesterday morning.
In a press release sent out afterwards, Espada's press director Franck Laboy said, "Assembly Lady Arroyo extolled the virtue of Espada's experience." Rivera, meanwhile, advised voters to disregard what they may have read or heard about Espada in the news. "Espada has guts," said Rivera, according to Laboy.
State Senator Ruben Diaz, Sr. has also endorsed Espada, but most Bronx elected officials are either backing Espada's opponent Gustavo Rivera or staying neutral.
Assembly Lady? Jesus Christ, these Espada people are idiots.
ReplyDeleteAnd (Jose) Rivera should be ashamed of himself. How can he claim to fight for housing and tour slumlord building and videotape it, but back Espada?
It won;t be long until the Assembly Lady is in jail her self -- just like little Ricky.
Bronx politics make me sick to me stomach.
All you have to do is walk around their districts to see how ineffective they have been. Carmen Arroyo, Jose Rivera, Ruben Diaz, Sr., Pedro Espada, Jr. Four of a kind. It's time we put an end to their toxic rule in the Bronx.
ReplyDeleteWhat do all of these have in common? They all have been in investigations. I am not surprised.
