In preparation for the February 26th Bronx Park Speakup at Lehman College, two parks advocates will appear on BronxTalk this Monday night to talk about the Yankee parks and access to the Harlem River waterfront. Beginning at 9:00pm, Chauncey Young of the Harlem River Working group and another environmentalist will talk with host Gary Axelbank and take phone calls from Bronxites about the status of the parks around the new Yankee Stadium and other Bronx parks and waterfront access issues.
Viewers who want to call in with questions or comments should call 718-960-7241 during the show.

BigBelly solar powered compactors are manufactured on Tiffany Street in Hunts Point and would be a perfect way to keep the parks clean and remove a food source for rats. They are maintenance free and will communicate when at 90% full. With the current reduction in the workforce combined with a growing population it's time to seek a modern alternative to the problem. The Obama administration thought highly enough of the BigBelly to classify it as Stimulus qualified. It's time the Bronx got a heads up on the environment and improved the quality of life for its children.
ReplyDeleteI took a tour of the parks around Yankee Stadium today and took dozens of photos. These will be featured on the show. So if you want to see what's REALLY going on around Yankee Stadium as regards the parks and the mall and what is and isn't happening for the surrounding communities then tune into BronxTalk tomorrow night at 9:00pm on channel 67.
