Mulchfest 2009

This Saturday and Sunday (January 10th and 11th) Bronxites can take their Christmas trees and holiday wreaths to a number of parks around the borough to be recycled into mulch that will nourish plantings across the city! Lights, ornaments, garland, and ribbon should be removed before bringing items to a Mulchfest site. If you bring bags, you can take home free mulch from Bissell Gardens, Brook Park, River Park, and Van Cortlandt Park. Full a full listing of the 31 Bronx parks participating in Mulchfest (including Williamsbridge Oval Park) visit the Parks Department’s website.
